The ENS210 provides Kelvin digital temperature output with accuracy up to ±0.2°C from 0°C to 70°C. It also measures relative humidity and outputs it in digital form with an accuracy of ±3.5%. The product is calibrated when it is delivered to the customer, so the sensor does not need to be adjusted on the production line. The product provides digital output via an I2C interface, eliminating the need for a host device's application processor or microcontroller for signal processing.

Measuring just 2mm x 2mm x 0.75mm, the ENS210 is packaged in a molded plastic surface mount package that can be used in smart phones and wearable devices including health monitoring bracelets.

The ENS210 consumes only 40nA in standby mode and 7.1μA in current measurement mode (1Hz down sampling), thus consuming only very little energy from handheld and portable battery. The product operates over a wide input voltage range of 1.71V-3.6V, meaning that systems with 1.8V/3.3V dual voltage supply do not require additional level-regulated power at the point of load.

When used in wearable devices, the relative humidity and ambient temperature readings of the ENS210 help to improve the accuracy and reliability of body motion measurements that are highly dependent on environmental conditions. It also provides sophisticated automation or performance enhancements for temperature regulators and connected appliances such as air conditioning and purification systems, refrigerators, dryers, microwave ovens, kitchen air extractors and weather monitoring devices.

The product can also be used with Amers Semiconductor's CCS811 or CCS801 gas sensor ICs, which detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the air, providing a complete system solution for indoor air quality monitoring. Amers Semiconductor offers application software and development boards that enable OEMs to quickly integrate Amers Semiconductor's environmental sensor solutions into their final product designs.
