Use 30 oscilloscope to directly crack 30 communication protocols

The development of digital oscilloscopes greatly reduces the difficulty of low-speed bus debugging. Whether it is IIC, SPI or CAN, LIN, etc., oscilloscopes can directly convert waveforms into data. It is rumored that an oscilloscope can directly crack more than 30 communication protocols, specifically those protocols? Let's take a look.

Before talking about the specific decoding content of the oscilloscope, let's first look at the changes in protocol decoding along with the development of the oscilloscope.

1. Briefly describe the convenience brought by the development of oscilloscope to protocol decoding.

The development of oscilloscopes from analog oscilloscopes to digital oscilloscopes has brought about many major changes, such as signal acquisition, bandwidth, sample rate, and display. Similarly, such changes are also reflected in the "protocol decoding", the new decoding method will liberate people from the world of "0", "1", greatly improving the efficiency of work.

Below, we take a look at the changes in the protocol decoding method in the development of oscilloscopes.

· Initial protocol decoding

The original oscilloscope was just a simple waveform display and data measurement, and we needed to get the deeper meaning of the protocol waveform, which would take a while to analyze.

For example: observe the IIC protocol, a clock signal, a data signal, we need to match the clock and the data signal one bit, to perform the combined conversion of 0/1, "translate" it into the form we need, and then correspond to the corresponding Physical quantity. This is not only a lot of work, low efficiency, but also easy to make mistakes.

· Current protocol decoding

The waveform data is directly decoded and displayed in hexadecimal, decimal or character form, which saves the process of engineer conversion and greatly accelerates the development efficiency. Figure 3 shows the decoding of a CAN protocol, which can be used in one step.

2. Briefly introduce each protocol

At present, on the oscilloscope, in addition to the well-known CAN, UART, IIC, USB and other protocol decoding, there are many protocols that are used more and more frequently. Below, we introduce the application according to the agreement.
