The domestic sensor industry has established a China production base for sensitive components and sensors under the guidance of the "double-plus engineering" that is, accelerating efforts to accelerate development. At present, there are three major sensor production bases in China, namely: “Anhui Base”, which is mainly a force-building and photo-sensitive scale economy; “Shaanxi Base” was established in February 1990 as “Shandong Provincial Sensitive Technology Industry Group Corporation”. Voltage-sensitive, thermal, and scale economies of automotive electronics are the main goals. The “Heilongjiang Base” mainly targets the establishment of an air- and moisture-sensitive scale economy.

At present, there are more than 1,700 enterprises engaged in sensor production and R&D in China, of which more than 50 are engaged in the development and production of micro-systems. As early as the end of 2009, the total annual output of sensitive components and sensors has reached 2 billion, and the sensor products have reached 10 categories, 42 sub-categories, more than 6000 varieties.

At the same time, sensors are increasingly being applied to various fields of social development and human life, such as industrial automation, agricultural modernization, aerospace technology, military engineering, robotics, resource development, marine exploration, environmental monitoring, security, medical diagnosis , transportation, household appliances, etc.

In 2010, the market size of flow sensors, pressure sensors, and temperature sensors was the largest, accounting for 21%, 19%, and 14% of the entire sensor market; pressure sensors, temperature sensors, flow sensors, and level sensors have shown mature market characteristics. Future growth in the sensor market will come from emerging sensors such as wireless sensors, microsystem sensors, and biosensors.
