Full color LED display needs to know that knowledge

Nowadays, the application range of full-color LED display is more and more wide. Today, we will give you some basic knowledge that LED display must know.

LED

1. Point spacing calculation method

The center distance between each pixel point and each adjacent pixel point ;

The pitch of P16 is: 16MM;

The pitch of P20 is: 20MM;

The pitch of P10 is: 10MM

2. Length / height calculation method

Point spacing × points = length / height

PH16

Length = 16 points × 1.6 cm = 25.6 cm

Height = 8 points × 1.6 cm = 12.8 cm

PH10

Length = 32 points × 1.0 cm = 32 cm

Height = 16 points × 1.0 cm = 16 cm

3. Module number calculation method

Total area ÷ module length ÷ module height = number of modules used

Such as: 10 square PH16 outdoor color LED display module is equal to the number of use: 10 m2 ÷ 0.256 ÷ 0.128 = 305.17678≈305 a

4. Visual distance calculation method

RGB color mixing distance three colors mixed into a single color distance:

   LED full color screen line of sight = pixel point spacing (mm) × 500 / 1000

The minimum viewing distance shows the distance of the smooth image:

   LED display visible distance = pixel point (mm) × 1000/1000

The most suitable viewing distance for the viewer to see the height of the picture:

   LED display screen best line of sight = pixel point spacing (mm) × 3000/1000

The farthest viewing distance:

   LED display farthest viewing distance = screen height ( m ) × 30 ( times )

5. Scanning method calculation method

Scan mode: The ratio of the number of lines lit at the same time to the number of lines in the entire area in a certain display area.

Indoor single and double color is generally 1/16 scan.

Indoor full color is generally 1/8 scan.

Outdoor single and double colors are generally 1/4 scan.

Outdoor full color is generally a static scan.

At present, there are two kinds of driving methods for LED display on the market : static scanning and dynamic scanning . Static scanning is divided into static real pixels and static virtual. Dynamic scanning is also divided into dynamic real image and dynamic virtual.

6. Power quantity calculation method

30A and 40A is a power supply; monochrome power supply unit 8 40A of plate 1, two-color cell plate 6 is a power supply;

If the full-color cell board is calculated for the maximum power at full brightness.

a , the number of cells that can be brought to a power supply = the voltage of the power supply * the current of the power supply / the number of horizontal pixels of the cell board / the number of vertical pixels of the cell board / 0.1 / 2

For example: semi-outdoor P10 : 5V40A power supply can take: 5 * 40 / (32 * 16 * 0.1 / 0.5) = 7.8 take 8 large ;

b. Find the required number of power sources based on the total power of the screen = average total power / power of one power supply ( power supply voltage * power supply current )

For example: a length of the screen with the P10 module 12, with a total of three high-P10 modules: 36 number of modules required to supply so = 32 * 16 * 36 * 0.1 * 0.5 / 5 / 4.6 = 40 taken Large (5 power supplies )

7. Display power calculation method

The formula for power is P=UI

P represents the power, U representative of voltage, I representative of the current, typically we used a power supply voltage is 5V, the power supply is 30A and 40A; monochrome power supply 8 cell plate 1 40A, the color is six cell plate a power supply;

Single lamp power = one lamp power 5V*20mA=0.1W

   LED display unit board power = single lamp power * resolution ( horizontal pixel points * vertical pixel points ) / 2

Maximum power of the screen = resolution of the screen * number of lights per resolution * 0.1

Average power of the screen = resolution of the screen * number of lights per resolution * 0.1 / 2

The actual power of the screen = the resolution of the screen * the number of lights per resolution * 0.1 / the number of scans (4 sweep, 2 sweep, 16 sweep, 8 sweep, static )

8. Display brightness calculation method

Brightness : The overall brightness of the screen is integrated by the brightness of a single light.

How to determine the brightness of a single tube of a computer under the conditions of brightness and dot density ?

The calculation method is as follows: ( taking two red, one green, one blue as an example )

Red LED light brightness: brightness (CD) / M2 ÷ points / M2 × 0.3 ÷ 2

Green LED light brightness: brightness (CD) / M2 ÷ points / M2 × 0.6

Blue LED light brightness: brightness (CD) / M2 ÷ points / M2 × 0.1

For example: 2500 points per square meter , 2R1G1B , and the brightness per square meter is 5000 CD/M2 , then:

The brightness of the red LED light is: 5000÷2500×0.3÷2=0.3

The brightness of the green LED light is: 5000÷2500×0.6÷2=1.2

The brightness of the blue LED light is: 5000÷2500×0.1=0.2

The brightness per pixel is: 0.3×2+1.2+0.2=2.0 CD

9. Screen resolution calculation method

Full color LED display per square resolution = 1 / pixel pitch ( unitized as M) / pixel pitch ( unitized as M)

For example: P16 per square resolution = 1/0.016/0.016 = 3906 DOT ( dot )

10. Best visual angle selection

Such as indoor surface mount light: SMD0603/0805 : H : 160 degrees V : 120 degrees

SMD3528 viewing angle: H : 140 degrees V : 120 degrees

Outdoor plug light DIP : dip346/546 : H:110 degrees V : 50 degrees
