For maintenance and renovation, the expenses required for streetlight management in each jurisdiction shall be paid by the municipal finance after the approval.
Outdoor lighting annual maintenance costs nearly 10 million yuan
Director Sun told the reporter that the entire repair and renovation project in Chengdu in recent years is still not small. The Chengdu Street Lights Department is responsible for the daily maintenance of outdoor functional lighting fixtures in nine overpasses and 134 trunk roads in the main urban area of ​​Chengdu. Each year, during the maintenance process, a number of facilities need to be replaced. Some of the main roads have changed and outdoor lighting facilities have to be reinstalled.
According to relevant engineering records, the replacement, renovation and maintenance costs of outdoor lighting have been more than 8 million yuan per year for five consecutive years. At present, there are more than 130 employees in Chengdu Street Lighting Department, and there is a very strong engineering maintenance and installation team. There are still differences in domestic product technology

Director Sun also said that it is not to exclude domestic products. The key is that many domestic enterprises cannot meet the relevant requirements of the engineering party at many times. Domestic production-oriented enterprises have strong counterfeiting ability and small production volume, but they lack some core technologies. For large-scale municipal engineering projects, the senior engineering designers of the street lighting department provide design drawings. They will ask the manufacturers to provide relevant reference data such as light effects and illumination parameters, and even a complete set of computing technology software, but domestic enterprises. This is rarely done, so in many cases, engineers at the Agency are unable to select products from domestic companies!

In the impression of many people, the project is good, but the balance is difficult to collect. What kind of situation is the situation facing the supplier when dealing with the Chengdu street lamp? Director Sun told reporters that the large-scale procurement projects required in each year will publish information on the Sichuan bidding website. The project funds shall be allocated by the municipal finance in phases, depending on the progress of the project, with a 70% ratio. The turnover period will not be too long. After the completion of the project, 30% of the balance will be paid. As long as the project meets the standard, there is no arrears in the project. Suppliers don't have to worry too much about the balance of the project.
