The CLCC6 ceramic packages of these VLMK61, VLMY61 and VLMW61 devices enable additional current drive for maximum light output while maintaining an operating life of up to 50,000 hours. Its efficient heat dissipation makes the CLCC6 an ideal source for cluster or matrix designs that are primarily concerned with heat build-up.
These new LEDs in the VLMx61 series are optimized for backlighting and lighting in automotive and transportation, consumer and general applications. Typical end products include hand-held mobile devices; green lights; home appliances such as washing machines, dryers and refrigerators, and external car lighting such as turn signals and brake lights.
All devices in the series feature a 60° half-intensity angle, are compatible with IR reflow processes, and comply with CECC 00802 and J-STD-020C standards. The CLCC6 package pre-processed according to JEDEC Level 4a is lead (Pb) free and RoHS compliant and AEC-Q101 automotive certification.
Samples and production quantities of VLMx61 high-strength power SMD LEDs are available now, with lead times of six weeks for larger orders.
