Abstract: The working principle and control strategy of single-phase Boost AC/AC AC converter are analyzed in detail. By judging the polarity of the input voltage and combining the output voltage error amplification signal with the triangular carrier, the operating state of each switch can be determined. The single-phase Boost AC/AC AC converter was simulated and a prototype was developed. The simulation and experimental results verified the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the feasibility of the control strategy.

1 Introduction

AC/AC AC conversion is to convert one form of AC power into another form of AC [1-2]. Among them, there are mainly power frequency transformers, AC-DC-AC converters, and electronic transformers that can be used for boost converter [ 3-4], high-frequency AC link AC/AC AC converter [5-6], non-isolated Boost type, Buck-Boost type AC/AC AC converter [7-11].

The power frequency transformer has large volume and weight, and has no voltage regulation and voltage regulation function; the AC-DC-AC converter has too many conversion stages, the conversion efficiency is not high, the harmonic pollution to the power grid is serious, and one is needed in the boosting occasion. Step-up transformer; electronic transformer has small volume and weight, no voltage regulation and voltage regulation function, and a large number of switching devices; although the high-frequency AC link AC/AC AC converter can achieve electrical isolation, the topology and control circuit are complicated, and the switch The number of devices is numerous; Buck-Boost AC/AC AC converter can realize the buck-boost function, but its switching tube voltage stress is high, there is no direct energy transfer path between input and output, so the conversion efficiency is not high, and the input and output phases are opposite. In the case of boost without isolation, the Boost AC/AC AC converter has the characteristics of simple structure and easy control. In this paper, the working principle and control strategy of single-phase Boost AC/AC AC converter are analyzed in detail. The simulation research is carried out and a prototype is developed. The simulation and test results are consistent with the theoretical analysis.

2 circuit structure and working principle

Figure 1 shows the circuit structure of a single-phase Boost AC/AC AC converter [7], in which S1 (S1a, S1b) and S2 (S2a, S2b) are two pairs of AC switch tubes, which are mutually high-frequency complementary turn-on, turn-on time They are DTS, (1-D) TS, where D is the duty cycle and TS is the switching period.

The converter can be regarded as a combination of two Boost DC/DC DC converters. When the input voltage is greater than zero, the forward Boost DC/DC DC converter consists of the inductor Lf, the switches S1a and S2a, and the capacitor Cf.
